A Great Information Source,
By
This review is from: Rickenbacker Electric 12 String: The Story of the Guitars, the Music, and the Great Players (Paperback)
A very informative book. Well researched and with excellent illustrations and photographs.
There is a wealth of information on the various 12 string Ricks and lots of interesting anecdotes about famous individual users such as George Harrison, Roger McGuinn, Johnny Marr and Tom Petty. I would have liked to see a bit more technical detail on pickups, wiring etc. and some timelines on the various detail changes to tuners, tailpieces, control knobs etc. However, if you own or play a 12 string Rick like me, or would like to, this is the book for you. A great book about a fantastic, easy to play and unique sounding 12 string electric guitar.

Another winner by Tony Bacon!,
By Michael A. Slubowski "Mike" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Rickenbacker Electric 12 String: The Story of the Guitars, the Music, and the Great Players (Paperback)
Tony Bacon has written another masterpiece! The Rickenbacker Electric 12-String book is comprehensive, well researched, and has some great history and photos of these marvelous guitars. Tony also covers ground on the history of the company, as well as comparisons of other electric 12-strings that Ricky competed with and/or were copycat players after Rickenbacker's success. Anyone who is a fan of vintage electric guitars, and especially those who loved following famous players who made the Rickenbacker such a fabulous part of rock history, should definitely have this book in their library!

"The Master Of Guitar Books Presents The History Of 'Jingle-Jangle'",
By Daniel S. Sullivan "guitar enthusiast" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Rickenbacker Electric 12 String: The Story of the Guitars, the Music, and the Great Players (Paperback)
Tony Bacon has done it again !
He's written more concise guitar books than anyone, and now he presents this wonderful history of the world's most celebrated electric 12-string guitar. Including the pre-Rickenbacker history of 12 string guitars, through the initial forays by Rickenbacker into the electric 12 string market, through the pioneers such as Suzi Arden (she had the first Rick 12), through George Harrison, Roger McGuinn, Carl Wilson, Pete Townshend and so many others looking for the "jingle-jangle chime", not to mention tons of photographic and reference material make this the ultimate guide to the electric 12 guitar. 5 stars. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful:

Not Just Rics,
By Dave From Ohio - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Rickenbacker Electric 12 String: The Story of the Guitars, the Music, and the Great Players (Paperback)
Tony Bacon adds to his long list of excellent guitar books with the Rickenbacker Electric 12 String. As always, great narrative along with great photographs. HOWEVER, the title is a bit misleading. Not only does this book present a wonderful history of Rickenbacker 12 string electrics, it also does an admirable job of looking at 12 strings from many other manufacturers as well. This book obviously starts around the time of George Harrison getting his Ric 12, but it also looks at many modern players who have also put this instrument to fine use on their songs. An excellent book about not just Rickenbacker 12 strings, but 12 string electrics in general !
