One of my favorites 20 Aug 2010
Format:Paperback
This is one of his better efforts. I highly recommend all his city books. Rome was great too. I think when going to a major city like this getting the city book is essential. Don't just rely on the country guide because it won't be so indepth.

I docked a star because he really needs to include more family information. Paris is NOT family friendly with few child changing areas and the subway finds you carrying a pram/stroller down and up steps an awful lot. Many restaurants struggle to accommodate highchair aged children.

Good overall and really covers the city nicely.

Loved Paris!

Paris with Steve 18 Aug 2010

Format:Paperback
This is the best guide book i've come across for a long time. We took it with us on our recent trip and together with the free Podcasts (available from Itunes) felt like we were touring Paris with 'Steve' by our sides. This is the only guidebook you'll need to have a great time. Lots of money saving tips, and with the podcasts, you don't need the audio guides to visit the museums. Definately recommended, and will look out for Steve's other guides when travelling again

Wonderful Paris! 6 Jun 2009
Format:Paperback
Loved it!

Rick's done an excellent job of giving you the best info. for your
first trip to Paris. I was there for 7 days, and am planning to return to Paris again, just to see it at another time of year. (I saw it in late May) It stays light until 10:00pm. I was so tired and staying with friends in the suburbs of Paris, that I couldn't get myself to get back out to view the city in the lights. I'm living in England and have seen some of London, but planning on buying his London guide, if he has one.

Cheers!
