This is a great game that has a formula I wish was repeated elsewhere. In a nutshell, players work as a team to beat the pigs who are trying to steal their picnic. Moves can be decided by numbers of items spotted by all players.

the game encourages social skills and teamwork, spotting of items improves concentration and it is probably the most popular of my daughters 20+ board games, that friends choose time after time when visiting. My youngest has high functioning autism and her therapist finds this game amazing for her as it prevents her going into her own world and has helped her learn to work with other kids... its even been used in small classes and I have yet to find anyone who dislikes it. Its one of those amazing games that adults can actually enjoy playing with their young kids (rather than just enjoy playing with the kids, you can enjoy the game also!)

cannot recommend it highly enough!

Nice to find a game where the players can work together, and not a 'winner takes it all' approach. The game board is durable - as evidenced by our grandchildren, who crawled all over it trying to find the different objects! Rules are easy to follow, and quick to learn. Game doesn't take an age to play - nor does it take long to set up, or pack away.
The only slight caveat is that it is a game which needs to be placed on the floor in most homes - unless you've got a dining room table at least 2 metres long - so grandparents with arthritic knees, beware before you buy!!

Fantastic game. I purchased this on a whim during the Black Friday sales and gave it to my 6 year old niece for Christmas. Both the 6 year old and her 4 year old sister were telling me on Sunday how good this game was, and they had brought it for me to play with them.

It is very educational, but the children don't even realise they are learning. The game encourages team work to beat a common enemy rather than trying to beat one another. It's also nice a quick to play, so the children don't get bored. When looking for things on the board, the players work together and therefore no-one gets bored.

The only improvements I would make are to have an electronic timer (can be bought for about £1), because when the adults are playing, there is no-one to watch the egg timer. I would also prefer a dice to a spinner, but that's personal preference.

A very clever game in that it is
* Simple to learn and play
* Engages the whole family
* Does not have winners and losers, but still has a little bit of competition in the sense of "who is in the lead?"
* Ideal for Scarry fan families
* Encourages memory and team working

The six foot board does mean you need a decent floor space or a long table if playing with older children, and it can be hard to stop then walking over the board. We played it with a three year old and six year old and they both loved it. I wondered if the "threat" of the piggies eating all the food before the team arrives on the ferry would be motivating enough, but the six year old abandoned ship when he feared this would happen, so it seems to be motivation enough!

Fantastic!! We love this game. It's so nice to have a game that makes you work together as a team and that all of the family can play. Our 4 year old loves it and we have played it with friends children who were 8, who equally thought it was great fun. You essentially have to hunt for certain items on the board (when you turn over a card with a certain picture on). So for example, it could be banana skins. The fun is that at over 2 metres long there are so many places to look at and the items are usually tiny. Even as an adult I really enjoy playing this game! Highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this game - or more specifically I really wanted my 3 and 6 year old nephews to like it as I'd bought it for them for Christmas - but I couldn't get excited about it and they got bored before I did (and we all gave up waaaaaay before we got to the end). Also, there are only a limited number of things to 'find' on the board and kids have pretty good memories so I suspect it has a limited shelf-life (although I can't vouch for that because I suspect they will never play it again).

Awesome game my 5 year old loves it a and my 10 year old does too. We all play together and it's great as you all win or all loose. I think that's why my little girl loves it so much. Easy to set up and tidy away too. No batteries and good strong box too. Would recommend to anyone with young children.

We are very happy with the game, it is great fun. Besides the rules, thanks to the lot of drawings, one can tell many stories and teach the kids things, that way also. Thank you Amazon!!
