richard pryors here and now is not a classic but still a good look from a man who was off the drink and drugs at this time and maybe a little more nervous for it at times but still pulls off a good show.
The crowd have been criticised for their heckling in this show and they are annoying, ranting and raving as if they are released straight from the funny farm with a bottle of whiskey in their hands .
There are moments of brilliance from pryor here but it would be folly to blame the weaker moments on anyone but pryor who misfires from time to time, granted i dont know all the names he mentions as i wasnt born then or just havent heard of the, but there is enough here to keep you going.
