The fact that its always written is an important one. Every single day, gigging or not, while writing other stuff, this blog gets written, discussing problems on tour, issues with getting sit-coms accepted by the BBC, and reactions to stuff going on in the news. In this, it's genuinely inspirational to any struggling writers to don't get around to any actual writing ..
Richard Herring is surely one of the most underrated and passed over comedians of his generation. He works tirelessly and for the most part without the kind of recognition that his contemporaries have achieved (Stuart Lee being the most obvious example). Warming Up is his daily blog, not always hilarious but always honest and more importantly always written. If nothing else Richard deserves recognition for his commitment (in addition to the creation of the Cumkin). Anyway, read it, you'll enjoy it, and for £1.99 a month thats only 7p a day :-)
This blog was a highlight in my day. My switch off from work. My glass of pinot moment. Sometimes my even in-the-bath-and-pinot-moment (too much?). But I upgraded my kindle to Fire - and now I can't download it. I am genuinely sad. Please bring it to the Fire - make me smile again (not just on Fridays reading Metro).
