5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the read just for the sheer dedication 19 Mar 2011
Richard Herring is surely one of the most underrated and passed over comedians of his generation. He works tirelessly and for the most part without the kind of recognition that his contemporaries have achieved (Stuart Lee being the most obvious example). Warming Up is his daily blog, not always hilarious but always honest and more importantly always written. If nothing else Richard deserves recognition for his commitment (in addition to the creation of the Cumkin). Anyway, read it, you'll enjoy it, and for £1.99 a month thats only 7p a day :-)

Comedian Richard Herring has been experimenting with using the internet to connect with his audience for some years now, and his blog Warming Up is always a good read. What's particularly impressive is how regularly Herring keeps it up: virtually every day. Making it available in Kindle form like this is a brilliant move. The subscription is easily affordable, the formatting works fine, and it's exciting to get a brand new entry popping up on your Kindle most days. Highly recommended.

This blog is brilliant, the first and only one I will probably bother subscribing to on my kindle. Having not really followed Richard since I was a kid in the TMWRNJ days I have rediscovered him of late and this is a perfect accompaniment to the Collings and Herrin and AIOTM, AIOTM podcasts. As the previous reviewer said for 7p a day you cant really ask for much more!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Blog, Always Written 28 Mar 2013
The fact that its always written is an important one. Every single day, gigging or not, while writing other stuff, this blog gets written, discussing problems on tour, issues with getting sit-coms accepted by the BBC, and reactions to stuff going on in the news. In this, it's genuinely inspirational to any struggling writers to don't get around to any actual writing ..

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny writing about trying to be funny 29 Mar 2012
By pablo
This record breaking daily blog/diary gives a running commentary of Richard's life and work as a comedian and writer.
I dipped in and out of Warming Up on the web if I had time, but this daily blog is perfect for Kindle. It is easy to catch-up with whenever there are a spare couple of minutes during the day - and great to take a break from the daily drudgery and escape to the glamorous showbiz lifestyle of an award winning stand-up and snooker players.
Richard Herring is always honest and open, and must be commended for trying to get something funny and interesting out of every day. Warming up is frequently hilarious and for 99p it's a bargain!
