Very few artist is capable of describing their work in writing. In 1982 Hans-Jörg Mayer together with Thames and Hudson published Richard Hamiltons, Collected Words. The book is a collection of essays about his art and the texts on describing the making of the replica of The Large Glass, Marcel Duchamp’s masterpiece. To be able to understand the thinkings of Hamilton Collected Words is a very valuable companion.
