I have to be honest - this was my least enjoyable LL novel; I've read them all and they all follow a familiar path - Africa to England, black meets white, girl meets boy etc etc but generally the writing is sumptuous and the plot pacy.
I did enjoy 'Rich Girl, Poor Girl' but it was just ok and frankly, a bit confusing at times. Tory, Nic and Caryn all meet at a posh English school and a lifetime friendship is formed. All from completely different backgrounds, they rub along nicely and all of them have the odd skeleton in their closet waiting to pop out but the tagline reads, 'Three friends...one secret that will tear them apart', and this just isnt the case! There's lots of secrets and most characters in the book have at least one so it all becomes a bit tangled up! Throw poor Estelle into the mix and it all starts to go a little haywire...
If you're a fan you'll be giving it a go anyway and if your not - look at some of her other work, it's much better!
