Great film for fans of David Bowie, also great film fot those who aren't. it deals with awkward subject matter and in my opinion, pretty well.

3.0 out of 5 stars bought it for Bowie! 18 April 2013
Not a brilliant film - I bought it only because it has Bowie in it and of course he does not disappoint.

4.0 out of 5 stars the secrets out ! 20 Feb 2002
By A Customer
This is a film that you dont expect to see these days. It has a realness a sentiment its not afraid to be that either. It's not arty or challenging. It's just a really good moving story. David Bowie is of course not as you expect him (hey he never is! lol) but if your a fan you appriciate that about him. He plays the part very warmingly and very fitting and with that unmistakable bowie charm that fans will love. Overall a really good enjoyable film! Good charactors played very well - more Major Tom than Ziggy tho if you know what i mean lol

1.0 out of 5 stars One of the worst films I have ever seen 8 Aug 2008
I sat down to watch this film with high expectations - with several outstanding reviews and an interesting selection of actors (including David Bowie) I thought it would turn out to be a gem. I was of course completely wrong.
The plot was wishy-washy and in my opinion could only satisfy the and weak-minded as I felt it was prissy and the characters were unbelievable. Bowie was out of place and looked like a boring old man reading out a learnt script. I failed to find the ending sad as I did not relate to the characters and although I have heart-felt sadness and sympathy with those who suffer from cancer and other terminal illnesses I did not want to watch a film about it.
This certainly is a film to be avoided.
