There are two kinds of health/diet books out there. The first is the realistic kind, where you are given suggestions and/or programmes that will work in the world we live in. The second is utopian, giving you suggestions and regimens that will work nicely (perhaps) if you were to find yourself marooned in a space capsule travelling through a black hole, but are perfectly useless in the real world we all inhabit. 'The Rice Diet Solution' belongs to the second kind.

If you cannot imagine travelling the world with a jar of rice at your side, going to work or college with that same jar as your lunch and munching on a bowl of rice in a restaurant then I respectfully suggest you look for a book with more realistic suggestions on how to improve your health and/or weight. If, on the other hand, you are of a monkish disposition naturally and enjoy nothing more than paucity and monotony in your food and permanent ostracism in your social life then this is just the book for you! If will also come handy to all the space cadets about to board a space capsule for a journey through a black hole.
