I am no longer a young man but I still like to party on the odd occasion. I can't be bothered with pop music anymore; when I wanna go out, this is music I wanna hear!

I was just getting bored with the whole bossa-nova lounge nu-jazz sound when along comes this record.
It breathes completely new life into something I thought I knew and makes it all sound fresh and exciting all over again. Not an easy task.
It's certainly not the first, but it is an absolute stand-out. Very hard to resist. Brilliantly played with very cleanly recorded and excitingly propulsive jazz sounds.
Just great.

but damn, this is just funky.
Brilliant, tight, cool, hip hippety hip and so so good just to listen to.
I can imagine a millionaire, living in London, big modern looking place over looking the river, all white, paintings done with elephant turd, minimalism but with a top of the range stereo/sound system hoofing this out, the windows reverberating from the bass. Dressed in an American Psycho name dropped suit, big glass of expensive booze etc - pretentiousness pishing out of every pore thinking they've got it all.
For me, instead of being a dobber, I'll just play this on my ipod and 25 year old stereo, I'll probably enjoy it just as much if not more.
