This is the last installment in the De Burgh series. It tells the story of Reynold De Burgh the second to last brother and his quest to find himself. He leaves the security of his loving home as he feels he has always been the odd one out and now needs to fulfill a conquest on his own. Having a bad leg and feeling himself lame, he sets out only to be challenged to honor his knights oath and protect the lovely Sabina Sexton. Her village has been plagued by what seems to be a dragon. As Reynold tries to uncover the truth, he becomes increasingly attracted to Sabina and vows to protect her and her village. Will he ever succeed, you will have to read the book, which seems to be the last although there is one brother left called Nicholas so I hope Deborah will conclude the story's with the youngest brother in the not to distant future.
I must admit I am a little disappointed in this last story, as it does not seem to have the excitement that I found in the other books and the sexual chemistry I find is not always present in the story telling. It does however bring all the De Burgh brothers together for one last time, which I think is a nice touch. Still a good read.
