Format:Paperback
Excellent pocket size book, has some good pointers but also a couple of facts were wrong. Check the bus time tables yourself as I waited 30mins for the wrong bus.and some timings were out of date.Other wise a really handy little book.

I usually buy Top 10 Guides for our weekend trips, but this city Guide Lonely Planet was perfect. It was a recent edition, with up to date information, and highlighted the best that Reykjavik had to offer. Very happy with my purchase.

What a Little Gem 11 May 2008
By Guppy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
My wife and I spent 4 days in Reykjavik a couple of weeks ago, and we found this little gem of a book to be invaluable in guiding us through our first vacation experience in Iceland. Reading the book, it was clear that the author had lived there at some point, and more importantly, that she understood Icelandic people well. All the recommendations, whether for hotels, restaurants, tours, etc. were extremely helpful, and the recommendations were right on; none dissapointed. The map on the back of the book was even more helpful than the one we received at the hotel. In short, we carried this little book everywhere. Great Lonely Planet guide; I highly recommend it.

Good content; maps too small 23 Nov 2008
By jpthree - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I really liked this guide book. The content was great, readable and well indexed. My only problem is with the maps. While it's great to include the maps as fold-outs in the book, in my opinion they are too small to be of much use. I understand the problems of providing the maps as separate stand-alones. Maybe if the format of the book were made larger (it seems to unusually small but I guess it's designed to fit in a jacket pocket)the maps would be more readable.
