Revoltech kits are an aquired taste

Either you love Revoltech kits or you hate them. So far I have limited myself to robotic kits like Macross, Dougram and Patlabor. On a lark I picked up Rin Tohsaka as I had no people type kits. Like all Revoltech kits most of the joints are the revoltech ball joints, which give great ranges, the ability to adjust, etc. They do however stand out a little, so there is the trade off.
I thought this kit is good, the back plate has a habit of popping off which is a bit of a ding. But the pony tails are also set in the special joints so that makes for some great poses. The kit is well painted, but not too busy so the translation from animation feels right.
One thing that did surprise me is the lack of accessories, of which there is one. However the dagger is nicely painted and detailed.
I am happy with the purchase and it looks cool on my desktop.
