The album itself is only worth, probably, 3 stars. It's an OK album. The band can play well enough, Pete Vuckovic can sing well enough. It's pretty standard rock music, nothing outstanding, but good enough.
What makes this album 5 stars is one song. It would make it more than 5 stars if that was possible. It's worth buying the whole album just so you can play it, over and over. It is track 3 - Beautiful Day.
It's a ballad, but an epic ballad. One so special it makes the hairs stand up, not just on the back of my neck, but pretty much everywhere. It makes me shiver. It makes my stomach feel funny. It's impossible to do anything else whilst listening to this song. From the guitar and vocal opening, when it gets all big and orchestral for the chorus, then back to quiet and vocal-focused for the verses, this song is the only thing that exists. Absolute perfection.
