Had this Radiio just three days, had to tell people how great this is. First of all it looks Great and most of all it sounds Great! I have had most makes of sound and have spent a few £ on different types over the years. I am a pensioner so it is a lot of years! I have at the moment a few Bose units so I hope you trust me when I say the sound on this Revo unit is very good for this type of unit. I took some time to make my mind up to buy this Radio as I looked at all the alternatives. This is not cheap but so far I consider it is money well spent.
When you turn the unit on for the first tiime it starts up on its own and goes through the setting up procedure no problem. Had to type my password to connect to my home hub for the internet. The only other thing you do is press the preset button when it tunes into Dab or FM stations of your choice. If you want to change preset stations at a later date no problem just tune to the new station and press the same preset button and it is updated to the new stations. The radio has five preset buttons on the unit but you have a extra five numbers on the remote control that means you can get a total of thirty preset channel ten on Dab ten on FM and ten internet. You can also fine tune Dab & FM stations, when it fines a station you like you can press the up and down control to try and get a better reception. The remote control is also very good I mention this because on some reviews of the earlier model said it was not very good, unless this later unit has a different one I found it excellent.
You get a free months subsciption to Last FM which comes in the box and was something new to me.

I have tried other internet radios, including those by OXX, and found most of them to be fairly crappy pieces of hardware, except the OXX.

This one is fairly well designed, looks solid with a nice an bright display. I am using it mostly as an internet radio and as an Ipod docking station, so I won't comment on DAB, FM radio or even last.fm support.

The internet radio seems well designed, although I believe all these internet radios use the same chip and only the casing and the louspeaker change. But yes it is still worth paying a bit more for nice casing and very decent sound albeit monophonic.

The Ipod dock works well, and the selection can be done (1) on the ipod (2) with the front buttons or (3) with the remote.

Here is what I like with the radio:
- Nice look, solid and reliable look with a nice finishing.
- Very decent sound, although it seems that FM or DAB radio reception was degraded by the presence of an ipod in the dock.
- Remote included
- Separate power adapter with 3 plugs (US, UK and EU). Since a power adapter is usually a weak part in an electronic device, I will be able to replace it easily if it breaks down, without even having to open the radio.

A was a bit surprised to see that the ipod adapter I was looking for (ipod 4G) is missing, although it is mentioned in the user manual. I called Revo's customer support which seemed fairly relaxed about this. I was given some excuse of why an ipod selling since over a year does not have its own adapter and was suggested either to get one from Apple (9 USD and in white which looks like %"!^%$£!), or get along with no adapter.

I am not amazed by Revo's customer care to say the least. The product misses a 5 five star grade because of that.

Amazing piece off kit - no faults what so ever. Also love the app. Only problem s that the receptions of WLAN and dab is strangely on and off. I live in central London and the router is very close so no reason really. Anyone else with similar experiences?

Might just be my house?

Do however LOVE the kit!

I finally got my hands on the update of my Revo Heritage Radio a few weeks ago.
I was pleasantly surprised that not much had changed and so having played with the radio a fair amount I am happy to base this review almost entirely on my review of the original update. I am going to use the old review heavily (ie copy and paste it) and update it where necessary as this is more of a tiny update to an already brilliant product.

The Revo Heritage G2 is a high end Internet Radio with many many other features.
It is near the top of the price bracket meaning it is in the same league as the Pure Avanti Flow or Sensia and forms the elite of the internet radio spectrum.

The radio has a very nice ultramodern look with a bit of throwback retro classic in the mix.
In short, it looks fantastic - also anyone who owns any apple products will like it as it is the same brushed aluminium :)
It does not just look good, the controls are nicely laid out as well, buttons are there only when necessary yet i love the 5 presets which can be set differently for each playback mode - there are 5 presets on the machine yet the remote lets you store an additional 5 which are then only accessible by the remote.
Revo thankfully adressed my biggest issue with the original revo which was the crappy joystick. It really destroyed the usability. Thankfully they have updated it with a much better thought out and useable design. It isn't perfect but it is so much better.
Of course once we have the buttons, it is difficult to ignore the screen, and what a screen it is.
The screen is OLED like the Pure evoke flow/sensia yet is a much nicer cyan colour rather than Pure's garish green.
