This is one of my favourite books from this author.
It is an extensive handbook full of valuable information for any student of revival. If you have ever wanted to know what revival is, why we need revival, how prayer relates to revival, as well as the role holiness, prayer, intercession and repentance plays then this book is a must. To underline all of these themes there are 36 accounts of revival from the 1730's onwards which are simply breathtaking to read. This book also looks at prophecies for the future and asks the question of what it would take to see revival again. You will be impacted by the information contained within the pages (and I thought it best to alert you to that). If you are looking for a comfortable book that can be read passively then this wouldn't be for you... however if you are looking for a practical, dynamic and inspiring volume then don't allow this book to evade your grasp.
I have read the earlier edition as well as this later edition of the book and can only say that it was excellent before and yet it has excelled further in its latest edition. It is simply the best revival book to have in your personal library.
