THis book is still a must for the exam. Some of the questions were verbatim at the june 2012 sitting so still very very relevant! You MUST read this book prior to the exam - despite its age it is still much better than most newer question books.

There are not many MCQ questions around for the FRCS Trauma and Orth exam. This book was difficult to track down and well worth the hassle of getting a copy. Difficult, realistic, questions with very comprehensive answers. Highly recommend !!!

If there is one book you should read for your first part of FRCS (Tr & Orth) I will say this is the one. 700 + questions very clear explanation for all the questions gives good insight into the exam and the topics for clinical practice as well. It helps in some topics which you feel difficult in answering.
Disadvantage is no recent edition, but still doesn't matter as the papers quoted in the book are still used in present clinical practice.

Format: Paperback
This is the best book out there for the FRCS orth exam. Some of the questions are very similar to those in the FRCS question bank. You'd be mad not to own this book prior to paying for the exam.

Review questions in orthopaedics 15 July 2003
By Steven M. Miller M.D. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I think that this book would be more useful if it were in CD format. It would be a substantial time saver to be able to read the question, click on the answer and then immediately have the explanation shown below. It is a great book, but would be much easier to use as a CD.

Excellent annotations 16 April 2002
By jason - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is the only review book which backs up all of its answers with papers. I am finding it extremely helpful for my reviews for the boards, and enjoy the humor of the authors!
