5.0 out of 5 stars Another grower 5 July 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I was so chuffed to get my hands on this as I thought the band had broken up. When I bought their second album I didn't like it as much as their first for a while, and this one is going to grow too. There are a range of influences on here, but as ever it is the McClure voice that gets you. As an old rocker, I have always liked people who could write lyrics and it is great to hear so many bands now that make the lyrics matter - the Arctics, Elbow et al - and this guy does it as well as anyone. The only thing I can't understand about this band is why they are not huge. I've seen them live a few times and they are brilliant. Last time I saw them was 2 days after seeing Muse who are acclaimed the greatest live band in the world or something like. Muse are polished and this bloke is as rough as a badger's whatsit, but he can really kick. Sort of a modern day Ian Dury. Great band and an album that needs adding to any good rock collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Return to a different form 3 July 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Another quality record; they may not be your favourite band, but this is another record with something to say; seen them live this year and actually they are better than ever. Not convinced? Give it a go- it's pop, but it aint One Direction, Thankfully!

5.0 out of 5 stars John McClure is banging the tunes again 29 Jun 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
For those who are familiar with Reverend McClure will know he has the knack for dancy tunes and this album is full of them.
From the opening track Bassline to the stomping Out of the Shadows which will make you wanna get up and shake it down non stop.
Depth Charge sees Maticmouth do some rapping on the song which adds that wee bit extra.
New single The Wrestler is another one that will grab the attention with catchy beat and chorus.
The album barely clocks 31 minutes but its the best 31 minutes anyone can spend listning to a new album.
Finally, just a mention to Youth who co-produced the album. Top job man.
Play it while yer washing dishes, while yer hoovering the house or having friends over for a barby.

5.0 out of 5 stars Present for someone, not for me
Although this was a present for my son I have heard parts of it.

The important thing though is that he thoroughly enjoys it which he knew he would anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars The most under-rated band back with a bang!
The Makers bring out their 3rd album after a 3 year break.
At only 30 mins in length the tracks just bounce of one another. All the songs are dance influenced. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars My album of the year so far.
This is an excellent product at a fantastic price; would definitely buy it again. The first 3 songs are as good of a start to any album I've seen.
