We usually send my daughter (in her 30's) an advent calendar, and were looking for something more interesting than the usual chocolates or just 'windows'. As our son-in-law is a Star Wars fan, we thought this at least would be different.

We did not see anything until Christmas eve, but it seems there was something every day. There are a number of plastic models to make up. They clip together without glue, and are pre-coloured (mostly there are some planet pieces to colour as you like - paints and brush included). There is something to open and do every day.

While glueless assembly is a great idea (maybe it the norm these days - it is decades since I assembled a plastic model kit), models are quite fiddly to assemble so would probably not be suitable for sub-teens.

The box and models were a bit bigger than we expected. Overall it was reasonable value for money.
