I was already positively surprised by the "Tie Interceptor" of the same collection, but I was totally amazed by the richness of the details of this model, both in color and texture. I bought some "paint not required" model kits before, where the colors turned up to be defined by the color of the plastic (and poorly so), so no details were highlighted in color. But in this kit many details are ACTUALLY PAINTED. Through a transparent, painted edges cockpit canopy you can see the pilot with diferent collors for the face, suit, chest pack and even helmet decoration, with stripes and dots. Remarkable, since we're dealing with a scale that I estimate to be 1/72. R2-D2's decoration is equaly minute. It holds together very well without any glue, and it could even survive a few minutes in a child's hands, eventhough it's not really a toy at all.
A small shortcomming, though: no display stand.
