The postures and positioning you get with this set are the usual mixture for a World War II plus there some helpful identify pieces in this paratroopers set. The most noticeable example is the man gathering in his parachute. This figure comes as one piece with the risers, and the base is separate and incorporates the rest of the parachute. The risers look unusual as they only curve downward some way beyond the man's hands, but otherwise this is an ok figure that fits together quite well, the other poses are good and look relatively natural.
On the weaponry side of things, you get the weapons that were available to US paratroopers, and many are included in this set. They include the Thompson sub-machine gun, the M3 sub-machine gun, the Garand rifle and carbines. One man has a Browning automatic rifle; the Browning M19 light machine gun comes as a detached piece which fixes to the base, along with the operator and ammunition box. While the detail is reasonable on these figures, it is not as clear and sharp as on some other sets that can be got for same theme. However, there is little or no flash, and both the precision and the animated poses are very good. This is perhaps not Revell's best work, but it remains a serviceable set that war gamers and other collectors will be reasonably happy with.
