I literally couldn't put REVELATIONS down and found myself somewhat disappointed to reach the end - which is always a good sign, in my `book'. The writing itself is fantastic, with excellent flowing description of the characters, their locations and, in some cases bizarre, actions. The author seems to blend the emotions, thoughts and motivations of the characters perfectly in keeping with their personal stories and interwoven plot lines, making them all totally believable. Along-side this is a keen observation of both human nature and the world we find ourselves living in, combined with a sprinkle of wit and great authentic dialogue that I find really endearing.
I'm glad that I've read the previous books in the series as the development of the main character, Jane Perry, has been good up until now - but gets even better in REVELATIONS. As the title suggests, the story is not only about Jane getting to the kidnap victim in time whilst battling small-town mentality and the obstacles thrown in her way and revealing the criminal, but also about uncovering more of her past and character. If you haven't read the other two books I would definitely start there - just so you don't spoil the enjoyment for yourself. In my opinion they are so consistently good that if you like one then you will like them all anyway, so you might as well start with the first one, PROTECTOR.
A great read that I definitely recommend for lovers of thrillers with lots of mystery and suspense that keeps you guessing right up until the end!
