Good quality eclipse shades that arrived very quickly and in good time for the transit of Venus. I have made good use of them since when checking out some great solar activity.

I know everyone says "don't look directly at the sun"

But with these, you can :D

I brought them for an eclipse
(which I missed)
But the novelty of being able to look at the sun with all the harmful rays blocked was still there.

Once you put them on, you cannot see anything else though
The whole world is black!

And the sun is just an orange ball, but still cool :D

Make sure to look away before you take them off though, and make sure no-one snatches them off you

So...probably not a great top for kids
But you adults/teenagers, enjoy :D

(Looking at the sun without them may permanently damage your eyes as well as cause temporary blindness)

The filter gives a good image of the sun in orange, but the spectacles themselves are made out of quite flimsy card. The manufacturer's name on the spectacles is Rainbow Symphony who apparently sell similar ones direct (in the US) for 85 cents or less. Given that they are delivered flat in a normal envelope (with card stiffener for protection) £2.00 delivery seems extortionate.
