If you have even a remote interest is Star Trek you will love this. I bought not realising it was part of a trilogy of books and to be honest it is better than the the other two. The plot keeps you entrigued and when you feel that you are getting tierd of it a new twist is introduced. The most intrieging aspect is the Borg/Romulan allience which must be read to be believed. The part Spock plays in book is excellent especially the part about the Borg. If you want to read Avenger you must read this to understand the plot.

GREAT!! 12 Jun 1999

Very good, but I don't see why Kirk should be resurrected so many times as if he's invincible. First by the nexus, then by the borg in this book, and then again in Avenger. But it was still a very good book, William Shatner is a very talented writer, and I loved the end at the Borg homeworld. I would love to read some DS9 or Voyager books from him.

A terrible story line...the Borg "joining forces" with the Romulans. The lead character that will not die; Shatner, old boy, let Kirk go!

A rediculous story line but it is well written (Shatner's writers have done well!) Despite the plot holes, it is a good read and isn't that what reading is all about? Entertainment? Yes...yes it is.

I enjoyed reading this story and I would hope others will also. Just don't take it as part of the Star Trek canon and you'll be fine! A great read for all Trek fans!

Definately worth a read!

Intelligently-constructed slice of Star Trek future history.
This is a cracking read. OK, so it's a Bill Shatner ego trip of the highest magnitude, but I guess we should be able to indulge him by now! Read more
