About the Director
Steve Austin (Lee Majors), now a disenchanted loner, is persuaded out of seclusion by his old friends at O.S.I. in order to help them put a stop to a group of international terrorists known as Fortress. His former lover, Jamie Somers (Lindsay Wagner), is also begged to join in the struggle. Austin and Somers not only find their old powers are rusty, they must also learn to overcome their personal suspicions of each other and work together, especially when Austin s son is badly injured and then kidnapped by Fortress.

The six million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman were great fun science fiction series from the 1970s that came to an end in 1978. This TV movie made ten years later brought the two main characters back for a one off special.
I have to say that this was a good effort for a reunion special. And it is well presented here on this DVD release.
The first two seasons of both Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman are available but sadly not the other seasons. Therefore it is particularly welcome to get the three TV reunion movies that came out during the 80s and 90s. This was the first of them and it is very good. The plot line is reasonable and we also get the extra character of Steve Austin`s son. There are some terrorists held up in a fortress and Steve Austin and Jamie Sommers come out of retirement to help resolve the situation. They are reunited on both a personal aspect as well as proffesional.
Both the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman were far fetched and for some people may be just daft, but really it is just good escapist fun. The world is serious enough without having TV programmes and Films that reflect reality, so from time to time it is good to escape into fantasy for entertaiment. This TV film continues the same sort of escapism from the original TV series and is a must for die hard fans of both Steve Austin and Jamie Sommers.

The story itself was quite good but it was ruined for me by the poor audio mastering that was done.
The bionic sound effect, which is essential to the bionic series, was so quite that it was almost inaudible. This ruined the viewing experience for me. The price is right but better master prints need to be used. The 2 star rating is for the quality of the product, not for the quality of the actual production.

There are three tv movies following the end of the regular series and this movie is the first of the three. There are still "bionic showdown" and "bionic ever after ?" to be released. There are also 3 regular seasons and so far we got only seasons 1 and 2 and i just found out u can order season 3 from amazon.de with english language.
There are also 5 seasons from six million dollar man from which only two are available so far and i hope they will release the rest soon so that we can complete our dvd collection.

RETURN OF THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN AND THE BIONIC WOMAN
Very disappointed with this DVD. Not much action and the story line was poor.Expected more action and better story line.
