For anyone who isn't aware, this is a sequal to the 1992 version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's gripping book The Lost World, was made back-to-back with its predecessor. The storyline involves ruthless industrialists who plan to destroy the plataeu. So it's up to Challenger and his fellow explorers to put a stop to them and let the dinosaurs live in peace.
I can't quite see why this film was made. For money, presumably. But it's more or less a re-run of the original. People go to the plataeu, end up stranded there. This film repeats the mistakes of its predecessor - the cast is far too large and the dinosaur effects are pathetic. Are we supposed to take that lump of carpet at the beginning serously, for example? The dinosaurs are hardly ever seen, mostly just consist of re-cycled footage from the previous film. A complete and utter waste of time and an insult to the memory of a brilliant writer.
