I was very lucky to pick up a Neal Casal CD in London on the way home to Denmark and was hooked from the start. I have now hunted down all his CD's (well maybe still one missing) and love them all. It was with baited breath that I ordered this one...an amazing singer/songwriter singing someone elses songs.....would it be as good as the others containing only his songs? The answer is of course yes. I'm not sure if this is a "time out" or a "tip of the hat" to songs that mean a lot to Neal but who cares it's brilliant. I saw Neal Casal live in Hamburg and ended up being his guitar roadie most of the night (he broke 3 strings) which by the end of the evening confirmed my opinion.... Neal Casal plays from the heart and sings from the same place too!

This is a spare and elegant beauty, a collection of lovingly chosen cover tunes interpreted with a very close, personal understated touch by this veteran singer-songwriter. Damn!

I own this album and it's great. Neal is a fabulous musician. Too Late is my favorite song on the album.
