Product Description

All the epic fantasy adventures of Anders Tomason: SWORD BEARER and WIND RIDER, two full-length novels collected here in one omnibus book for a combined lower price.

You swing a staff until you're ready to swing a sword. Then you go on all kinds of adventures -- fighting monsters, casting spells and saving damsels in distress. At least that's how it's supposed to work, but I didn't believe a word of it.

Two forms of power -- natural and chemical -- divide the world. Dragons, who keep the chemical power in check, have long retreated from human sight; few still believe in them. Inside a castle surrounded by Tuscan hills more and more threatened by chemical forces, sixteen-year-old Anders lives a sheltered life. But much as his parents try, Anders can't avoid the forces that threaten...

3.0 out of 5 stars good but could use some more editing 19 Mar 2012
By Book Lover - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
The story line is good and I like the characters but it needs some more editing. The author really likes to use foreshadowing but it only foreshadows something on the next page so it gets really annoying. One of the main character's name is spelled differently in different parts of the book and one character gets assigned to two different dragons. That really made me think that the author really didn't care, which makes me question whether I should read any upcoming books in the series. That being said, I hope he continues the series and fine tunes the writing a bit.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a true review 10 Mar 2012

I found that this book was quite good except for the fact that every race in the book knew this one prophecy and that they automatically liked him even though he killed ... sorry, but i can`t tell you. that would give away too much.

Anders is the son of a diplomat who thinks his life is boring. that changes suddenly when a portal opens in his bedroom wall and he sees the most beautiful girl ever. little does he know that she will open up doorways to his heart and magical potential, among other things. i would recommend this book if you like swords, pixies, heroic quests (sounds cheesy, i know), and good old fashiond butt-kicking.

(P.S, my next review will be on the phoenix conspiracy)

4.0 out of 5 stars cute 24 Mar 2013

This is a good read but not a great one for adults. The book seems to be written more for teenagers. The writing quality is good, the story line might be a little lacking, but for me I never tire of the same old thing if it is done well, and it is. I finished the book in about 4 or 5 hours altogether and I would still say it was time well spent. If you are taking a long trip go ahead and bring this one along.

4.0 out of 5 stars 4 not 5 for one reason 24 May 2013
By Joey - Published on

And that reason is that the title is misleading. Omnibus normally means that the story inside is complete, and if that is the case here I will be extremely ticked off. This book is simply to good to leave off here. So in conclusion to my review I say HURRY WITH VOLUME THREE BECAUSE I CAN'T WAIT!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love the story! 26 Jun 2013

The story line in this book is awesome! The writing flows and I did not want the book to end! The young hero is so realistic! He is not perfect but he keeps trying. I hope there will be another book in the series out soon! I will read other books by this Author! Terry Jacobs you write an awesome tale!
