Only used it to charge my iPhone 4 in the car. It works fine. It will not charge a 3GS. The ratchet mechanism broke after a couple of uses though! Cost to much to return!

Although it seems to work fine and has been doing for a few months, the product itself is very flimsy and the retractor mechanism broke on both the ones I bought the first time I used them!
