This tastes good enough to eat, of course you can't, but I would if I could. It tastes of nothing, and even with the extra flavoursome mint sachet it still has a light and pleasant taste and I don't need peeling off the ceiling in the mornings after using it, unlike other types of mouth-burning, eye-watering mouthwashes.
Retardex Oral Rinse is PH balanced, and clinically proven to banish (not just mask) bad breath, so if I did have bad breath, I don't anymore. And, if you know you have it, you've even more reason to try this product. Plus it is alcohol and sugar/artificial sweetener free and not going to add to our teeth problems.
My biggest complaint is not with the product, but the name - Retardex - I understand where they are coming from as in - to delay development (of plaque) etc, but it just sounds so wrong. So, er, retarded. If I saw this in the shops I would probably bypass it just because of the name. It's not a very positive or appealing one.
Apart from that, if like me, you can (just about) get past the name, it's a very good mouthwash, and if it does what it promises and effectively fights plaque over time with its new anti-bacterial formula, then I'm still a happy bunny with a pair of good looking front teeth and five stars to hand out.

Has a sachet for adding mint flavour to it, or you can have it original which isn't bad and is quite pleasant.
Fresh taste in the mouth is much more pleasant than Corsodyl, and isn't harsh like Listerine, and lasts a long time, with your mouth feeling fresh and clean.
Bottle is big, generous sized and a little goes a long way.
Used daily, it'll last you a good 6 weeks.
Even when you use it, and spit it out, your mouth doesn't feel dry and no disagreeable aftertaste - and it DOES solve bad breath problem, gets rid of Cigarette and strong food taste and smell
It works and works well in my experience, and to be honest it's the BEST mouth wash I've ever used, only downside is the price - it's EXPENSIVE!

I was interested to try this, as usually the selling point of mouthwash or "oral rinse" as they call this - is the "zingy" taste that makes your mouth feel fresh. This usually puts me off and I think you suspect that such things are only masking the problem and not actually dealing with it.
The documentation is keen to point out that this should be used along with brushing and as part of your daily routine - not instead of. So the main idea is to leave the residue of the rinse in your mouth, afterwards - so it can carry on working. This may sound a bit strange, but in practice this liquid doesn't taste of anything - so it's just like rinsing with water at room temperature.
The unit is quite large and contains a fair few doses - so this is a good sample to try and I found no problem using it with the lid of the bottle. It's an entirely neutral experience, if you leave out the small sachet of mint flavouring (as I did) and it's an easy thing to integrate into your normal routine.
I have been using it now for a few weeks and Ithink it's having a good effect in terms of fresher breath and cleaner gums. I'm sure this can be recommended as it contains no harmful ingredients and nothing to put anybody off, in terms of taste and consistency. I'm sure it would suit anybody as there's nothing to dislike. Of course if you are looking for more excitement from a mouthwash - then other brands may suit.
