This one is well worth reading, from an author with an ability that is more than most. Some of the spirit characters are quite endearing and others, I would not want to meet on a dark night.

Funeral Home's Ghostly Residents 14 Mar 2013

Format: Paperback
Restless In Peace - Mariah de la Croix

Ms. De La Croix is a psychic who had worked at a funeral home. She writes about her experiences working in many of the Funeral Homes that she was assigned. She speaks fondly of the many families and the deceased that were in her care as well the many spectres that had also reside there.

The author writes of the many postive interactions she had with the spirits as well as the fearful ones she had. I myself, could not imagine what it would be like to work in a Funeral Home. I've always been curious but not one to act upon that as an occupation.

Earns a permanent spot on the shelf 24 Feb 2013
By Elizabeth Parker - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Too often accounts of true hauntings disappoint with poor writing, editing or sparse subject matter, but not this one. As Ms. de la Croix strives to understand her intuitive gifts -- which go into overdrive in her work as a funeral professional -- it feels like you are walking those dimly lit, often very scary, funeral home corridors with her. Full of ghostly detail, this skillfully paced book maintains just the right balance of narrative context and spooky events.

I love the book and will buy anything Ms. de la Croix writes in the future. It will stay in my permanent collection and I've given it a long review, and the highest recommendation to readers, on my blog (Mobile Ghosts.)

Completely unbelievable..... 14 May 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I read the reviews on this book before I bought it and they were very encouraging, but the book is a total controversy. I believe this book is the authors vivid imagination in paper form. There are too many discrepancies that throw doubt on this author's declaration of being a psychic medium. I had tough time believing her experiences. I guess what raised a red flag was when she didn't sense a ghost was with her in the cooler. The other reason is that her encounters are too imaginative. Read this book as a book about ghost stories and you may enjoy it. As for me, I was disappointed.
