I really enjoy relaxing with Mills & Boon for a bit of light, easy reading and Abby Green is one of my favourite M & B writers; I've read at least eight or nine of her books.
This particular novel is the third in the Bad Blood Collection featuring eight of the Wolfe siblings but they can be read alone, although it's nice when you begin to recognise the characters.
I'd already read the first in the series, The Tortured Rake written by Sarah Morgan which featured Nathaniel, Sebastian's full brother, and had really enjoyed that so this was an easy purchase, especially as it was reduced to £1.49 as part of the Kindle Valentine's Day offer!
In this novel Abby Green takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. Sebastian has real trust issues, not unusual for M&B you may say, but the author builds this into the story in such a way you can understand why this is, she seems to have real knowledge on abandonment problems. Aneesa, such a lovely character understands this and although strong herself she has major patience and helps to see Sebastian through his anxieties. It's a lovely story that I'd highly recommend if this is your genre.
Only one slight niggle for me, but one I would have deducted a star for, had I purchased this as a physical book rather than downloaded to my Kindle and I'd had to look at the cover each time I picked the book up. Aneesa is a beautiful Asian, but one the cover there is a picture of someone who is clearly fair haired. Splitting hairs (pardon the pun) you may say but book covers can make or break a sale for me and I really do love a good cover. I'd have liked to see a beautiful Asian girl dressed in a really feminine sari, which would have been the icing on the cake for me and also depicted the actual story.
