Dr. Gerber is a highly cognitive and organized author, professor (EWU) and therapist and his book is consistent with his character. The focus is to learn to move quickly through the rapport building phase of therapy so that you can get to the intervention and he provides all the tools necessary. In addition, he discusses the pitfalls that can happen in the first 2 minutes of therapy and how to avoid them. Anyone with a need to get to the core of a person's issue quickly such as pastors, managers, social workers, crisis line workers, and tutors will also find the techniques supremely useful. The book is well written and fairly easy reading as well as being short and to the point.
