Product Description

Respisense Buzz Breathing Effort Baby Monitor is the latest technology in Baby Monitors giving parents an early warning of irregularities in baby breathing effort. Respisense nappy baby monitor does not rely on pads below the sleeping area; it simply clips onto the waistband of your baby's nappy then quietly and unobtrusively monitors baby's breathing efforts while asleep. It triggers an alarm if your baby stops or appears to stop breathing. The new RespisenseTM Buzz model has the built-in TummyTickleTM feature that stimulates with vibration to stir baby to resume breathing before sounding the alarm. This proactive stimulation is a world's first, and works by way of gentle tactile stimulation.

A real comfort 8 Jan 2010
I have been using this monitor every single night since my baby was born and he is now 9 months - I intend to carry on using it until the battery runs out!
I have found it a great comfort to know it will alert me to problems with my little boy's breathing and have been able to sleep soundly because of it.
We have had very few false alarms and only when either the nappy has become very loose or more recently when my little boys nocturnal wriggling has dislodged the monitor altogether.
I am sure many mums are happy to just keep a close eye on baby but for any like me who feel the need for extra reassurance I would strongly recommend this monitor, expensive but certainly money well spent!

I bought this product for when my little boy was born. I used it for a couple of days and it was great, but then the little switch snapped and disappeared into the unit so that I couldn't turn it on or off. I contatcted the manufacturers and they told me to stick a pin in to turn it on and they would send me a replacement unit. I did as they said and then the alarm went off while we were out (one of the many false alarms)and I was unable to turn it off, which was embarrassing.
The replacement unit arrived and that didn't work properly from the start. It just did not detect the breathing movement so was constantly going off. I had it fitted to the nappy as per instructions and the same as fitted before, but it just would not pick up breathing. It would only pick up pretty violent shaking.
This product was totally unreliable which is unacceptable when it is supposed to be there to help protect your child's life. The people who sold me my original unit had gone out of business and it took a long time for the manufacturers to find another supplier who would deal with a refund for me so I could return both units.
A friend of mine lost a baby to SIDS. I wanted to do everything in my power to make sure that my baby was as safe as it was possible to be. This unit is rubbish. Go for the Angelcare monitor with under mattress sensor and keep a close eye on your baby when he or she sleeps elsewhere. I had a rear facing buggy so I could keep check on my lad and he only slept in his cotbed with the Angelcare monitor fully set up. It's fantastic and I will be buying another. Do not risk you baby's life by relying on the Respisonse monitor!!!
