Product Description

NEW AND IMPROVED MODEL! Respisense Buzz Breathing Effort Baby Monitor is the latest technology in Baby Monitors giving parents an early warning of irregularities in baby breathing effort. Respisense does not rely on pads below the sleeping area; it simply clips onto the waistband of your baby's nappy then quietly and unobtrusively monitors baby's breathing efforts while asleep. It triggers an alarm if your baby stops or appears to stop breathing. The new Respisense? Buzz model has the built-in TummyTickle? feature that stimulates with vibration to stir baby to resume breathing before sounding the alarm. This proactive stimulation is a world's first, and works by way of gentle tactile stimulation.Babies do not always sleep in their cot or bed and fixed baby monitors cannot be used in other environments. Respisense Buzz is designed to be completely portable giving you the option to monitor baby?s breathing wherever your baby sleeps. It can be used practically anywhere baby may fall asleep ? in cots, on a picnic blanket, on your lap or in a swing crib etc. New and improved model features a smaller design, integrated button and user replaceable battery.

We bought this monitor ten months ago for our baby who was born three months prematurely. We were so used to the monitors in hospital that we felt we needed something for peace of mind when our daughter came home. I would highly recomend this to any new parents, we sleep soundly knowing our daughter has the monitor on at night (even though she is now one year old we still use it at night).I agree with the other review,it does not always turn on properly first time but I find it is usually due to the pressure you apply to the switch. It has gone off a few times but only because it was not on the nappy securely enough and our daughter is a lot more mobile now. The battery lasts about five months and they are around ten pounds to replace. One piece of advice is to buy a spare battery too as ours ran out and we did not have a spare and had to wait a few days for a replacement. You can buy a similar vaultage one from the high street but so far we have only been able to find an exact replacment from the internet.

I had no issue using this product - it works perfectly for us. I remember 1 false alarm when my son somehow took it off of his nappy. But that`s all otherwise very good. I used it mostly when travelling and it did the job. Great product and no battery issues after 5 month...

I wanted this device for peace of mind but since getting the device, the alarm goes off without reason, which is very unsettling for the time it takes to wake up and realise and check everything's ok. When I check my daughter, thankfully she's fine, and I can see no reasonable or obvious reason for why the device is not sitting close to her body. Another problem I find is the device does not turn on properly and I have to turn it off and then on again (sometimes twice) before it starts up the way it should. I returned the device to the manufacturer but they returned it saying there was nothing wrong. I don't believe them quite frankly, I use the device every day and I know when it's not working as it says in the instructions.

Despite the negativity I have written above, I would still recommend buying the device. I'd rather the device's alarm go off a million times unnecessarily than not at all.

My wife and I tried over a few days to get this to work, but no matter what we tried, the alarm always tripped after a few minutes. We really wanted it to work, and talked to other owners, but it just didn't. Possibly a faulty unit... We returned and got an Angelcare. So far so good. 5 stars for Amazon's returns policy.

Have used these on both of my children for the last 19 months. Fiddly to use and take some getting used to but really accurate and comparing them to the under mattress sensor there are a lot less false alarms and errors. They can be worn during the day too which gives you peace of mind especially with a newborn. They can be set to make a clicking sound with every breath which we find quite reassuring through the night, we don't need to get up to check its working.

I put it on my baby and stop worrying. It gives a few false alarms, but it is worth it.
