Product Description

The United Nations is under threat. After a spate of attacks, a round of hostage taking erupts in three Western European capitals. A previously unknown group claim responsibility. The members are all women. Revenge is their business. All are survivors. All have come of age. And all have a personal hatred of the United Nations whose peacekeepers failed them.
Taking time out after his last bruising mission in Russia, Tallis is recalled to London. When the first hostage is executed Tallis struggles to keep up with the killers’ relentless pace, then events take a sudden and deadly twist: the secretary general of the United Nations is kidnapped. But all is not as it appears. Faced with a crisis decision by his paymasters, Tallis is forced to choose between two evils, an act that will change his life forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended! 27 April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I am amazed not only by the amount of research that must have been involved in this novel but also by the authors incredible grasp of it all! Also by the deep concern for man's inhumanity to man that inspires so much of your work. I love the way you have structured the novel, with Anna's story threading its way through the events, and, of course, the surprise at the end, and how everyone, with the exception of Tallis is motivated by his or her own agenda.
An excellent read and highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best novel I've ever read 19 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I enjoyed the earlier Tallis novels from E.V.Seymour, but Resolution To Kill (R2K) is the best "can't put downer" out there. Find yourself a spot behind the sofa or curtains, don your tin hat and get reading (you might need some rations on hand too).

Tallis is an ex-Brummie policeman and soldier who's found himself co-erced into working dark-ops for MI5 - on this occasion in the simmering Balkans. The brutal menace that lurks on every next page of this book is an artform in itself. The research gone into this book is obviously massive and yet the story never chokes on the "too-much-info" syndrome (read Jason Bourne for an example of too much fleshing out). Tallis is the super spy who has to buy his batteries from Asda and is probably the bloke who lives opposite you. The only thing worse than war is the damage it leaves behind in some people's minds so Tallis' battle is both physical and mental. Enjoy
