5.0 out of 5 stars Mr C, 21 Nov 2005
By A Customer
This is an excellent christian album which is based around the bible and what God has to say to us. It talks about the reality of living for Christ daily in all types of situations and show practical Chrisitanity. This is true rap album and so if anyone is worried that it might be a bit cheesy like other chrisitan music then don't worry. This album in raw and hits the mark.

5.0 out of 5 stars The bar has been raised, 24 Jan 2006
By Derek Johnson (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews

For too long, Christian hip hop has been taken for a joke. `Man, those beats are wack'
`Sounds like it's been recorded in someone's bed room' `That MC has no skills', are some of the kinder things I have heard in my time. And to some extent these accusations have been true. Any one that purchased CD's from this genre back in the early 90's, would say that the spirit was indeed willing, but the rest wasn't done in the spirit of excellence. Being a young Christian in those days, and wanting to listen to something other than Gospel, was hard work. But, with due reference to those pioneers (SFC, I.D.O.L Twins, Freedom of Soul, respect is due!!!) we now come to a different era. With a new decade comes a new breed of MC's spitting for Christ. These Men and women, are on fire for Christ, and are going boldly going where no MCs has gone before. Corey Red and Precise have dropped an CD that is excellent in so many ways. The production is tight, and is reminisant of its golden age (1987-1994ish) to some this might distract from this joint, but to these ears this is like manna from heaven. Also their skills as MCs are beyond repute. Corey's darker gravellier vocal tones are more than complimented by Precise's smoother textured. As for the songs themselves: they range from the darker PE sounding `Da Matrix Joint' the gospel tinged social commentary of `What's going on', the biographical `Jesus saves'(where Corey details how he came to Christ). Else where Corey lifts up well known Hip hop personnel (A prayer 4 Hip-hop). My favourites are: No grey Lines, Propaganda (which relates to the end times) the aforementioned `Da Matrix Joint' and `What's going on?' Finally I'd like to address two points. This CD is more Corey Red heavy, and if you appreciate Precise more, this could lead to some displeasure on your part (but they will be dropping solo joints soon!). Lastly, to these ears, this is comparable to anything the `Secular' hip hop community has to offer, and has the extra incentive of no curse words to avoid. I hope you enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Real Hip - Hop, 17 Dec 2007
By N. E. Miller "Neil_Miller" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Corey Red & Precise's album "resistance is futile" is the benchmark of Hip - hop. Their lyrics are real and you can understand every word which is said. no mumbling here! Also the production of the tracks is brilliant! The problem with most christian hip hop is the fact the tracks are so poppy and childish and often sound like they are done on someone's home PC.

This album is great hardcore hip hop. Lyrics are amazing! Grey lines is the realist and most challenging song to any christian out there.
