By miss l e smith (South Coast United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This book is an informative and ideal resource for student and practitioner alike. The illustrations carefully lay out the process' and are informative and descriptive. The sections on mould making are especially useful and the book has a wide variety of photographic images that are inspirational and informative. I thorougly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative and Inspiring, 1 Sep 2005
I love this book! I took an instant interest in resin for jewellery after seeing a small project in another book, and had to buy this when I saw it.

This book doesn't really give you any projects to follow, but I think there is enough information about different methods for someone to be able to take it from there, and give it a go.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent!, 4 May 2007
By misskutiekat (liverpool, uk) - See all my reviews
I bought this book last week and i'm amazed just how much information is packed into it! As a jewellery student i was worried it may be a bit basic for my needs but found it to be jam packed with info on things such as rapid prototyping to electroforming!

plenty of helpful tips on how to cast items of unusual shapes etc... and other problem solving tips.

There's also plenty of inspirational images of other designers work and examples of things non jewellery related to get you thinking about how versatile this medium is!

all this plus its wrote in a very easy to read and follow style, it is excellent for the beginner or the more advanced.
