Having played Resident Evil Code Veronica to death on both platforms, I was compelled to purchase the soundtrack. And I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The music is masterfully executed by what sounds to be an immensely talented orchestra (although admittedly, the music does sound slightly strange without the visuals to go with it). It ranges from depressingly melancholy (tracks 6 [Death Siege] and track 7 [Palace of Insane]) to the positively creepy (track 21 [Theme of Nosferatu]) to the thrilling and chilling (most of the rest of the tracks with the exception of track 08). Yes, this is a great piece of work. There are 46 tracks in all, but most of them don't surpass two minutes, hence the huge number. This is atmospheric, tense music at its best, and sounds great just playing in the background. Fans of the series will love it, regardless, and people of any musical persuasion will probably enjoy at least some of the tracks since there really is something for everyone. The packaging is also nice and impressive, much better than anticipated, and as an added bonus, you get a dinky little sticker as well, to do with what you please. So easy pleased me :) but this is a true hidden gem, especially since they were flogging these CD's in a games magazine at a disgraceful £34. Tut tut. But I'm digressing. This is truly spine-chilling stuff, and without it, lets face it, Resident Evil would never be quite the same.

If you loved the game and the drama that this music creates, then buy this!
Its excellent, the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the end boss music for Alexia could be better - not too keen on those opera-type shrieks.
Also the ending to the dreamcast version sounds like the soundtrack to a cheap porn movie, however the ending to the PS2 version is much improved.
Overall an excellent cd that is worhty of your cash!

The fabulous, explosive RECV has a stunning soundtrack. The music is all mixed (clasic, rock e.t.c.) And the theme of Alexia type 2 is amazing! So, if you enjoy the music from this game, buy this amazong cd today!!

At last!! It's what we've all been waiting for...the original soundtrack to the stunning game RESIDENT EVIL CODE:VERONICA.
Even if you haven't played the game or are new to the whole Resident Evil craze you'll still love the dark, atmospheric music...
The music from the Resident Evil series has always been popular and with just cause. The creepy, nerve tingling music is spot on for the survival horror francaise, dark, moody and of course...very scary!!
Best experienced in game, though if you're a die hard Resident Evil fan like myself, you wont be able to wait to get your hands on this soundtrack!!
