In preparation for my TESOL master's thesis , I've read about six research in linguistics/education/second language learning books. This one was by far the easiest to read, very clear and accessible style, yet also totally comprehensive. I also liked explanation of mixed methodologies. Definitely worth reading before embarking on linguistic or second language learning/teaching research.

Good condition and written in a way that takes (some of) the dryness of research theory out. Would recommend for someone that has to do a course in it but isn't going to make it their life's work. :D
