Are you interested in how things work? Well if so then this is a really great book for you as you can plunge deep into the complex world of rescue vehicles, oberving how they work, and how they are suited to their particular jobs.

As with all the other books in the 'DK Cross Sections' series this one is really very informative and educational, telling you in detail how different rescue vehicles work.

In total the book covers twelve different rescue vehicles; a police car, a fire engine, a fire boat, an Atlantic 21, a Sea King, a Range Rover, an oilfield esv, a life boat, an abulance, a paramedic bike, a water bomber, and finally forms of rescue back in history.

Each vehicle is accompanied with an extreamly detailed drawing which is split in different places to reveal what is inside. There is also in depth lables and annotations explaining what the object does etc.

Overall another great book in the 'DK Cross Sections' series which is great for children from about ten upwards. Any younger and i'm not sure whether they would understand it properly.
