Format:DVD
This is a series based on New York firefighters coming to terms with life following 9/11. Although you might expect the usual 'God bless America' stuff you normally get with US dramas, this one is completely different. There is a great mix of hilarity and tragedy. The humour is very often sexist, racist, homophobic, anti-religious... basically if there's something people just aren't meant to say, one of the characters will!
They're due to release series 6 in the US in 2010...what a pity they STILL haven't realeased series 4 (2007) in UK format!!

Format:DVD
I saw this series on Sky One when it aired, and recently bought it on DVD so I could remember what had happened prior to watching the season 4 DVDs I had just bought.
The whole series is fantastic. There is possibly more of an overall continuing theme through this series, as not only does each character have their own story, collectively there is the fear of the group separating and going their own way.
Also of note, if you buy this and you are not a person who watches DVD special features, make sure to watch the comedy short. Pure hilarity.

Format:DVD
Not really much needs to be said. Rescue me blends the perfect mix of comedy, drama, excitement and depth. This series, like the other two series I have watched ooozes absolute quality. Superb acting and production values, and a feeling of satisfaction after each episode that few series can produce.

Great, fantastic series, good writing.
This is another series of a funny,excellently written and polished story of a NYFD crew. Highly recommended -can't stop watching this. Read more
