One of the most recorded and performed religious works in the repertoire, this masterpiece of vocal composition, composed shortly before Mozart's death, majestically combines the voices of orchestra, chorus, and 4 soloists into a deeply moving, elegiac work of glowing intensity.

4.0 out of 5 stars Requiem in Full Score 24 May 2009
We are planning a performance of Mozart Requiem in Mirepoix in the south of France in August Bank Holiday Sunday. This item was exactly what was needed to review which instruments we needed for the orchestra, given our limited resources; and at a very reasonable price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Best for people used to reading full scores 21 Jan 2006
By A Customer
If you are a singer in the choir and not used to reading a full score this book could be difficult to use. You will probably find you need to mark your singing part very clearly on each page to follow it through. The print size is also very small and the font used is not the clearest to read so if you like clear larger print copies then this one is not for you.

Mozart's Requiem is definitely a choral masterpiece. It has everything - terror, despair, peace and celebration and if you want the maximum enjoyment out of the work the Dover Full Score version is definitely for you. It is clear, easy to follow and most of all it is excellent value for money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good score 9 Jan 2007

Print is extremely small, but clear enough to follow. Not the ideal score to perform with, but rehearsal is OK.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a great buy 6 Feb 2014

Bought this full score after singing this work at Carnegie Hall with my college choir. Dover scores are great for those who don't want to go into debt buying music scores. Great to study with and delve into the world of Mozart. As promised, the lay-flat binding lives up to its name and stays open very well on a piano, music stand, or desk without having to have the pages weighed down. Great purchase for anyone who loves Mozart and oratorios

4.0 out of 5 stars Mozart's most moving piece, faithfully reproduced 27 Sep 2002
By Andrew Lambert - Published on Amazon.com
Mozart's Requiem is without a doubt his masterpiece, one can only imagine how it may have been had he a chance to finish it. This edition indicates which parts of the score were written by Mozart and which were by Sussmayer, his student. Any musician would agree that seeing the full score version of any piece can be insightful to the composers mood and thoughts when it was written., this in stark contrast to the popular trend among music publishers to condense an entire orchestral score into a keyboard/SATB layout.
I reccommend this book for musicians who have at least an basic understanding of musical notation. The layperson would likely be unable to do much other than stare at the pages. But for anyone who can follow along, it's always fun to read along with a recording and notice new flurries and nuances every time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mozart's Requiem is brilliant! 25 Oct 2004
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
I am a huge fan of Mozart's Requiem K626. This score is great for a Mozart's Requiem fan. But, as said in other reviews, it would be pretty useles to someone who can't read music. But it's great for someone who likes to follow along with the chorus. It even give information on what parts Mozart composed. Mozart is my favorite composer, and this is a great product.
5.0 out of 5 stars There will be a Requiem IF YOU DON'T BUY IT! 2 April 2013

Even reading the score, it brings tears to your eyes. This is etherial music and is a requirment that all musicians have a recording and score of Mozart's Requiem. The score is wonderfully laid out. Strong spine and pages won't fall out, like some fear with Dover. This is a great collection for all.
