This book is well written and an interesting slant on the climate change debate. Obviously David Shukman often has the feeling of the messenger being blamed for the bad news. He makes it clear he came to the subject as a skeptic and he is trying to present an even handed report of the world and the science as he finds it. This though does not leave the reader feeling much optimism that we will be able to solve the problems the scientists are pointing out.
David Shukman only gives limited information about himself although possibly a bit too much about his travel sickness.
Overall, I am glad I read it. Perhaps I should ask, will it make a difference to what I do........?
