Product Description

Product Description

Beautiful Guitar abuse & feedback, strewn with cranky home-made samples, knitted together with catchy melodies Drive this East Anglian Swamp Music. Call it Nu Blues, Raw, Lo-fi Alt Country, or art-house post punk. Replacement organs defies genre but certainly refries your beans. Comparisons have been made to Captain Beefheart, Beck, Tom Waites, The Beta band, The Pixies, Pavement, and Hank williams on speed, But this CD is truly original.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an album! 8 Aug 2003
Format:Audio CD
This is marvellous insight in the wonderful world of twisted country blues. Fantastic vocals, catchy riffs, great effects and the overall feeling of something new, different and a little zany. For 6.99 it's a no-brainer!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Get hip with Plastic Hip! 8 Aug 2003
Format:Audio CD
'Replacement Organs' by Plastic Hip is the debut album by one of the most original and exciting bands of the 21st Century. A scintillating mixture of swamp-garage, country hip-hop and rhthym and jive the opening track 'Orange Sun' sets the tone for this blistering album of scorcher after scorcher. Other stand-out tracks include the country honk of 'Dumb Cowboy', the nitrous-fuelled balls-out rocker of 'Big Fat Calf' and the sublime piano-wrecking madness of 'The Swimmer'. If you're as sick to death as I am of Pop Idol and the current dearth of quality and innovative music, you need this album.
