Volume 2 of this series is a much anticipated and worthy follow up to volume 1 of repairing the Panzers. This book brings a wealth of information and detail on WWII German armour. The photographs are real gems. What intrigues is the imaginative ways in which Germany tried both to maintain and hold on to its small tank force, if compared to that of the allies.

There no other books on this topic with this kind of photographic evidence and detail in my opinion. Mr Friedli has produced a masterful compilation of the subject matter, and his books are exceptional in all aspects.

I am sure this book would be of benefit to the avid modellers as well as a History buff on the use of repairing Amour and its various issues of battle recovery, as well as, the recovery in the most extreme of conditions. I cannot recommend this title strongly enough and have thus rated a worthy 5 stars.

I already own volume 1 of repairing the Panzers so my review may be viewed as bias but you have my word this book is a must have for anyone interested in WWII German armour.

There are no other books on the market that come even close to these books by Lukas Friedli, he is a master of the subject and his books are exceptional items to be absorbed over and over again.

If you don't buy this book and it goes out of print you will forever regret it, the book is a wealth of information about the German recovery units and full of excellent sharp clear photos of their equipment and the tanks they served.

This book is worth twice the cover price in my opinion.

I pre-ordered this book on the strength of the first volume and I am please to say it does not disappoint, but then what else would we expect from the Panzerwrecks team? This new volume is just as good as the first with more unpublished photos, most of extremely good quality, and very informative text. The Panzerwrecks team have another fantastic book here.

Armour fans and model builders will find this to be another excellent addition to the library.
