This is a very effective product both in terms of cost and performance. This appears to be the same product that Tesco sell at nearly £4.00 for 3 x 50g sachets. Here you are getting a one litre drum for £11.00 (ish). It comes in a secure plastic drum which was securely wrapped in a cardboard box. Whilst the little trays will go up on to a high shelf in (say) a shed, if your rats are outside you will need a secure bait box. If you have a bad problem you will need more than one bait box. I live in the country with fields at the back of the house, when they cut the fields the vermin migrate. This is a second generation product so if you have rats that are immune to warfarin this will kill them. If you have a problem with rats the University of California published an interesting article-I suggest you type in rat infestation and see if you can find it. Sadly I no longer have the link. One last plea-if you are using poison please keep it out of reach of birds. Tidy up arround bait boxes. About a month before the current infestation next door's dog was killed by poison. If you are using poison and your annimal becomes sick and thirsty, with difficult movements-get it to the vet QUICKLY.YOU DO NOT HAVE THAT MUCH TIME.
