Just like to say this is the most surprising CD Ive heard for years, Rendez Vous the single and opener of the Remedy CD is programmed in my limited brains which pompompom I repeat from morning till dawn. It shows there is further development in POPMUSIC. The JAXX will stay if they like, even after the current and sometimes boring house musictrend.Hope to hear very soon many more of these guys. Yope-Up

Any Basement Jaxx fan will know Rendex-Vu, the first song on their album Remedy, and if you don't then please waste no time acquainting yourself with it. Rendez-Vu, however, is not the highlight of this three song single. That accolade goes to Miracles Keep On Playin' which is a great remix of the Basement Jaxx classic, Red Alert. Your life is simply not complete without it.

I don't like the Rednez Vu edit, but I love the song...The reason to buy this disc is for tracks 2 and 3.
The mix, no, the re-construction or making-better-of Red Alert, cutting down on vocals, and entirely changing and making more interesting the musical structure and content of the song, is a must have.
Track 3, upon first hearing to most of my friends has been called just a bunch of noise. When they say this, I ban them, make them apologize, and they must love this song before they regain my confidence. One thing this song doesn't do, it doesn't carry out it's potential/potentiality/potentialities. It's great at it is, but, say, if it were allowed to go all the way over the top, for it, I would sell my soul without a second thought. This track is an audiophile's, a speaker-salesperson's, and hi-fi-fanatic's dream.

HASH(0x8a79c6b4) out of 5 stars Earth-Shaking Release in the World of House 11 Jan. 2000

In the past few years, all but the most radio-friendly house producers have gravitated increasingly to the dark, warm, minimalistic beats of deep house, a form of the genre first made popular in the mid-nineties.
With growing dissatisfaction among many house fans with the big beat and drum-n-bass sounds, a new sound was bound to emerge in stark contrast to the repetitive nature of deep house.
Along comes this superior record out of the culturally diverse English town of Bristol - like the album it is taken from, there is no way to describe this song as anything other than a latin and reggae-infused form of house that has as many flamenco strums and selectah voice-overs as it does that awesome over 100 bpm bass.
Elements are ever-changing throughout the song and while some vocals, bells and whistles remain throughout the song, others go in and out across very few measures - others may only appear once. These constant variants keep the song exciting from finish to end.
This cut hits hard in the clubs. For winning over die-hard house fans as easily as hip hop, reggae, and electronica listeners, Basement Jaxx have truly accomplished the extraordinary. As one LA reviewer said, this is one song you almost wish would never end.

HASH(0x8a787d50) out of 5 stars Good House / Techno on Rendez Vu uk 10 Nov. 1999

Even though this has the radio version of Rendez Vu the other 2 tracks are much longer and some of the best house/techno music around. For example listen to 'Miracles keep on playin' (Red Alert Mix) the 2nd track and you'll be trance dancing like me, the 3rd track 'All U Crazies' is really underground uk house stuff and it rocks! Get it!

Rendez-Vu in my opinion will become a classic in years to come when people talk about this music. When I first heard it, every kind of emotion I had was touched my the beat, melody, etc. I truly recommend it.

Being the greatest house and garage fan, and being the type of person who just can't stop moving when the good music is on, I would like to congratulate the authors of this song, for it is the strongest adrenaline-raiser I've ever experienced. I would also like to thank them for making the Belgrade summer full of fun and excitement, when we really needed something like this to make us feel alive again. "Red alert", "Randez-vu" and "Remedy" were brought to Belgrade clubs by DJ Acim and DJ Coba from "Loud minority", and they are surely going to be the first ones with the new Basement Jaxx editions. Working in the studio on my first song, I will be more than happy to find the way to send it to these guys instead of XOXOXO
