I have bought this book, and found it very helpful. It can be used just for an explanation of things, to do routine maintenance, or actual repairs. The book is a must if you intend to do any maintenance by yourself.
Each task is marked with an indicator showing the difficulty of the task. There is a high percentage of tasks that can be done by a beginner to experienced Do-it-yourself enthusiast. However some tasks are for professional mechanics or authorised dealers.

Renault Megane and Scenic (99-02) Service and Repair Manual (Haynes service & repair manual series)
I am a fully qualified Mecanic and NVQ Assessor with 33yrs experience. This manual is very detailed with all the relevent facts and settings to hand. some of the pictures/Photos are on the faint side but still a very good guide to doing any job tackled. Before attempting any work on engines I would recommend reading the section applicable to your engine a few times as there can be some confusion and merging of the four engines listed.

This manual is well illustrated and concisely informs the reader on how to strip down and rebuild the cars many parts and varients.
As with all manuals such as this, reading through your particular portion before you start anything saves time and frustration. There's nothing worse than having an oily part in your hands while trying to turn pages to consider your next step ! A good thing is the blank pages in the back of the book - I have used these to write down particular easy on difficult steps taken so i can refer if I need again.
The only gripes are that it does not describe the various bulb types used in the car or specify particular tools such as torx fittings where this information would assist if you needed such before you start working.
As with all manuals such as this, reading through your particular portion before you start anything saves time and frustration. haynes manual
in my opinion haynes manuals are not as good as they used to be ! this one tries to cover too many types in one book ie engine and model types ,so over half the book is not needed... Read more

Inferior Quality Paper
Arrived, eventually, after travelling around the country in the wrong direction. Book contents is fine. But it is printed on inferior paper which makes it difficult to read. Read more

Scenic Service Book
A comprehensive volume covering the Renault Megane and Megane Scenic models from 1999 to 2002. In so far as modern cars can be addressed by DIY this is a most useful volume.
