I couldn't justify paying the price for a Nikon remote for my 300S as I will not be using it a huge amount so this is perfect. It is basic just a push button with a hold/lock. I did find it a bit difficult to attach and remove from the camera but I think that may be more due to the position Nikon put the connector rather than the remote.
It comes with 3 feet of cable and hasn't broken yet so I'll recommend it

Works well and inexpensive, great for normal use.
If you really want to nit pick, it's not built like a battleship, the screw in collar is more suited to small fingers and I have sometimes engaged the sliding lock when I did not intend to.
Not 'Pro' standard but not 'Pro' price.
